Jas & Steve | Wedding | Gold Coast – Boomerang Farm | 6th October 2013
On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Jas & Steve down at Boomerang Farm on the Gold Coast. The day was so special!!! Jas is one of my sister’s good friends and it was such a privilege to be able to document their special day. We started the day nice and early with the boys at the Meriton hotel in Broadbeach. The boys looked great with their bow ties, converse and matching hats. I love that Jas & Steve incorporated their street style into their bridal party attire! The boys looked so good! After we captured some awesome photos with the boys (check out the cigars!) we then headed over to the other tower in Meriton to photograph the girls. Jas was a stunning bride with her gorgeous tea length dress (made by a family friend) perfectly complimented with her gorgeous red lips and birdcage veil!
Then it was time to head over to Boomerang farm for the morning ceremony conducted by Annette Boyle. A short and sweet ceremony, with a little hiccup with the rings… but their union was sealed with a kiss and lots of cute expressions from the bride and groom. It was then off in and around Boomerang Farm for family portraits and a couple of location shots with the bridal party, before we headed into the barn for a Sunday roast to toast the newlyweds. Mel and I were lucky enough to be invited to lunch and capture all the speeches, cake cutting and first dance. I must say, they have a wonderful group of family and friends and we felt like we weren’t photographers, but friends there to celebrate.
Then it was off around the golf course for a couple of portaits with Jas and Steve, before the reception concluded with a circle of goodbye and Jas and Steve departed Boomerang Farm in a cute komby and we headed down to Surfers to capture some gorgeous beach portraits to conclude the day. It was such a perfect fun day and thank you again for inviting us to document your day. Enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait to show you all of the photos when you return!
Stephen was given a pocket watch from his parents on the morning of the wedding. How cool is that? I love pocket watches and they should totally make a comeback!!
