Branell Homestead Wedding | A beautiful country affair… Jon & Ally…

Jon & Ally | Wedding | Branell Homestead Laidley | 12th November 2011

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of heading out to Branell Homestead for the beautiful wedding of Jon and Ally. The day started off a little cloudy, with a chance of showers, but ended up being the most spectacular (and hot!) perfect day. The sky was blue, the sun was shining and love was all around. We started the day with the boys, where Jon was less then impress with me bossing him around asking him to smile. Jon is quite a serious country boy with very stern facial expressions. Trying to get him to smile during the groom’s preparation photographs was like trying to extract blood from a stone.. But as soon as he saw Ally, he melted and there were smiles all round.

After the photographs with the boys, we headed out to Branell Homestead for the rest of the day. The girls were very relaxed when we arrived and their were details all around to photograph. Ally just looked stunning!! She had the most gorgeous make up by Kara at Ella Baché Ipswich and just had the most beautiful glow around her all day. After some gorgeous bridal portraits, it wasn’t long before guests started to arrive for the ceremony which was held on the beautiful green lawn in front of the homestead.

The ceremony conducted by Jeanette Glasgow was just beautiful filled with personal vows – like Jon promising to take Ally shopping and Ally promising to make Jon big glasses full of Milo It was intimate, beautiful and you could really see the effect that Ally had on Jon, as he relaxed and smiled! These two were completely in love and are totally meant to be. After the ceremony and a few family formals, we headed off around Branell (with a customized quad bike for Jon & Ally) for some formal bridal party portraits. The sun was so hot, but we used it to our advantage to create some gorgeous afternoon portraits around the property. I love Branell, so diverse in photo locations and just a beautiful wedding destination.

We then headed into the reception where a good old country feast was had (we had four different types of roast meat on the buffet) followed by heartwarming speeches, cake cutting and a beautiful first dance before guests danced the night away on the lawn in front of the pavillion! Not to mention the craziness that went on in the crazy booth (more of those photos to come later!)…

It was such a pleasure to be part of Jon & Ally’s special day. Our hearts were warmed by seeing the love they shared and the excitement that all their friends and family had witnessing them get married! Enjoy your sneak peak and your honeymoon and we will see you soon to show you the rest!
