Brisbane Wedding Photographer | A Real Life Wedding Story – Isaac & Jaclyn

A little earlier this year I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful wedding of Isaac and Jaclyn out at Hatton Vale/Toowoomba. It was such a beautiful Autumn day. I absolutely love being able to share my couples wedding experience, so here is their real life wedding story as told by Jaclyn!

Bride’s Name: Jaclyn
Groom’s Name: Isaac
Date of Wedding: 6th May 2017
Number of Guests: Approx 450

The History….

How did you meet?
Inebriated, on a dirt dance floor, at a rodeo (there’s one to tell the kids…)

How long did you date?
4.5 years

How did he propose?
He made me climb Mt Ngungun first.. he was being really suss about it so I was thinking he was either planning to propose or push me off the top.. thankfully it wasn’t the latter..

The Wedding….

What was your wedding date?
6th May 2017

Why did you choose this date? Any special reason?
My birthday! and I wanted a may wedding for the weather, I love Autumn!

Where did you have your wedding?
Apostolic Church, Hatton Vale

Was there any special touches, vows, traditions or tributes that you included into your ceremony?
Just our traditional church ceremony

If you could pick one special moment from the day to remember what would it be?
All of it! The whole day was perfect

The Gown….

Who designed your gown?
Pronovias

Where was it purchased?
White Lily Couture

What was your gown shopping experience like? Was this dress the first one you tried on? Did you try on hundreds, loved it, hated it?
I tried on about 3 before it, this was the only one I liked. I actually hate trying on dresses so the assistant was quite taken aback by how unenthused I was haha

Where there any special details you included in your day?
Did you borrow a piece of jewellery etc?

What was your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?
I didn’t do this… Clearly I’m not the most sentimental person in the world..

Did you have any DIY elements to your day?
We set everything up and did all the catering ourselves if that counts?

If you could describe the overall theme of your wedding day what would it be?
Umm I would say.. simple and elegant (or at least that’s what I was going for)

Thank you Nicole for photographing our special day! You made everything so relaxed and easy. Your bubbly personality was so fun to be around and you got on so well with our bridal party. We had the best day and you captured it perfectly, I wish I could hang every single photo on my walls!
