Luke & Kristin | Wedding | Stamford Plaza | 15th August 2014
Yesterday I had the privilege of being invited to photograph the beautiful wedding day of Luke and Kristin. I must admit that I was a little worried that it was going to be a really wet day, but thankfully the weather held out and we only ended up with a couple of showers throughout the day. We started the day out at the boys. Luke was incredibly relaxed and the boys were great to photograph. Then it was off to the Stamford Plaza where the girls were getting ready in one of the penthouse rooms. Kristin was also very relaxed and incredibly excited to be marrying the love of her life. Kristin made a stunning bride with her gown by Luv Bridal and her gorgeous flowers from Bouquet Boutique. Then it was off to the Ukrainian Catholic Church at Woollongabba conducted by Father Stefan, the chaplin out at the Amberley Air Base (Luke is in the Airforce). A beautiful ceremony was held and Luke and Kristin’s adorable daughter was super excited (and super cute) that her parents were getting married. Then it was back to the Stamford Plaza for some photographs in and around the Botanical Gardens and waterfront, before an intimate reception with 30 of their closest family and friends. DJ Diggler created a beautiful atmosphere at the reception and I am so glad that Kyle and I were there for the reception as I witnessed some of the most beautiful, emotional speeches I have ever heard as a wedding photographer (and yes, even I was tearing up behind the camera). Then it was time for the cake cut and we ducked out for some night time photos down by the river before capturing the first dance. Thank you both so much for inviting me to be part of your special day. Kyle and I both felt like members of your family and enjoyed the day thoroughly. We hope you had a wonderful day. Enjoy your sneak peek! I can’t wait to show you the rest!
