The Wottons | Family Portraits | Gatton | 28th May 2011
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Wotton family as a gift for their grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. I love it when familes come together and give the gift of family portraiture to celebrate different occasions within their lives. I think it is so important to record the changes as your family grows and is a beautiful symbol of what is most important in this life – more than anything else, is family.
It was wonderful to photograph 3 generations. We headed out to a private farm property near Gatton for these beautiful family shots. We had a great shoot even though Abbey wasn’t really interested in having her photo taken. I love it when smaller kids have reactions to having their photo taken – it really symbolises what they are like especially around 2-3 years old, they run on their own agenda!! But even with Abbey not wanting to have her photo taken, we were able to still take some beautiful photographs.
It was a pleasure photographing your family and I hope your grandparents enjoy their beautiful gift for their wedding anniversary. It is such a milestone to reach 60 years together as not many couples do these days.
When we were taking our family photos with the hay, Doug was pretty interested in eating it…
Behind the Scenes:
I just had to add this last one in, to show you what we photographers go through when photographing small children. They always pull the funniest faces and provide plenty of candid shots to have a bit of a giggle with! Check out bubba Jack – isn’t that just the cutest little expression!!
