Jim & Bec | Wedding | Little White Wedding Chapel | 23rd May 2015
On Saturday I had the pleasure of heading up to beautiful Maleny for the wedding of Jim and Bec. It was such a privilege that Bec asked me to photograph her special day. I have worked with Bec numerous times as she is a very talented wedding planner and stylist from Style My Celebration. I knew that the day was going to be relaxed, enjoyable and beautifully styled.
I started the day at Lemon Grove in Montville where both Jim and Bec where getting ready. They hired the beautiful Lemon Grove home for the weekend and invited some of their close friends to stay with them. As Jim is not a fan of having his photo taken, Jim and Bec decided to do a first look at Lemon Grove to get all of the couple and friend photographs out of the way. It was a nice change of pace for me, as I have never photographed a first look before. Bec looked absolutely stunning in her custom Susan Ogg Gown, gorgeous hair and makeup from Velbella and her gorgeous flowers from Bella Bloom Floral Designs. And Jim looked very suave in his suit.
After some photos around the home, it was off to the Little White Wedding Church at Maleny for the ceremony and reception. Jim and Bec arrived together in a beautiful vintage car, where they walked down the aisle, hand in hand to be married in front of 40 of their closest family and friends. The lovely Ketrina Coffey conducted the beautiful ceremony where Jim and Bec where married. Bec’s gorgeous nephew Arthur did a wonderful job being ring bearer and after the exchanging of vows and rings, their union was sealed with a kiss. After a quick group photograph, a few family photos, it was off to the beautiful reception area for pre-dinner drinks.
Jim and Bec wanted a really relaxed wedding day. They wanted the reception to feel like an intimate friendly dinner party with good food and wine. And they didn’t disappoint. The reception tables were beautifully styled by both Bec and Amanda from Adorn Event Hire and the delicious dessert table looked so good!! I absolutely loved the colour palette, the beautiful candle light and the gorgeous LOVE sign!! It all looked so beautiful!
Jim and Bec, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your special day. It was so wonderful to photograph such a relaxed, enjoyable wedding. I hope you had a wonderful evening celebrating and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos!!
After the signing of the register, Bec’s brother Paul sang a beautiful rendition of “God only knows”
