Last weekend I had the privilege of photographing the Peter and Lyza for their 30th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal down at the Moreton Bay Trailer Club at Manly. It was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the breeze was gentle and the food for breakfast was so good!!
I met Peter a while back through my real estate agent. He was a referral for pest control. Through our first possum removal service, we got chatting and discussed what I did for a living. So earlier this year when Peter and Lyza were thinking about renewing their wedding vows, they asked if I could be part of their day. It was the first vow renewal ceremony that I have photographed and it was so special. The ceremony was conducted by the lovely Jeanette McDonald and was full of stories of how they met, the hiccups that occurring during their wedding and how their love after 30 years and 2 boys is still as strong. It was so beautiful to watch Peter get a little emotional watching Lyza walk down the aisle. The ceremony was so beautiful. It featured two beautiful readings from their two brothers, a little prank from groomsman John (who hid the rings, so when they opened the box it was empty) and some beautiful vows. It was really special.
After the beautiful ceremony, we took some beautiful group and family photographs down by the water and some gorgeous couple portraits for Peter and Lyza to remember the beautiful day by. Then it was time for an awesome buffet breakfast, a few very special speeches and of course cake!
Thank you Peter and Lyza for asking me to capture such a special day for you both. It was so wonderful to be part of your day. You guys are a testament to what marriage should be and set such a great example for your sons. Enjoy just a little sneak peek from the day and I can’t wait to show you the rest!
