Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of heading down to the Gold Coast to photograph the beautiful wedding day of Chris and Debbie. It was such a beautiful day. We had gorgeous blue skies, a few clouds floating around, and a gale force wind. We started the day off with the boys capturing their preparations for the day. I absolutely loved all the subtle nautical themed elements to the day. Especially the boys socks!! How awesome are they!! The boys were so much fun to photograph.. and even though a jacket was missing.. we had fun with the photos. Then it was off to see the girls. There was a little more activity happening with hair and makeup just being finished off. Then it was time for Debbie to get into her gorgeous ruffled gown. She looked absolutely stunning!! And her gorgeous bridesmaids all in beautiful navy gowns were gorgeous in their own unique dresses.
After finishing the prep photographs we headed off to the beautiful Southport Yacht Club for the ceremony on the lawn. Mark Gladman created a beautiful ceremony for Chris and Debbie… Debbie arrived by boat with her girls and Dad before heading over the sand and down the aisle to marry the love of her life. The ceremony was beautiful filled with beautiful heartfelt vows, a little humour when Debbie couldn’t get her rings on and even a little bit of arts and crafts. Then their union was sealed with a kiss and beautiful prayer and Chris and Debbie were announced as husband and wife.
After a group photo and some family photographs, it was time to head off down the marina for some bridal party portraits. Everyone was so wonderful in front of the camera and Debbie even talked her way onto getting us access to a $4 million dollar boat for some photographs!! Then it was time for the bridal party to head back to the cocktail hour, before we headed down to the Spit for some sunset portraits. It was so windy down at the spit, but the light was absolutely stunning and worth braving the wind for. Then it was time to head back to the club for dinner, dancing and celebrations!!
Thank you so much Chris and Debbie for inviting me to photograph your beautiful wedding day. We had so much fun capturing your day and I hope you love the little sneaky peek. And a big thank you to Katrina for second shooting with me! Enjoy!
