Toogoolawah Wedding Photography | David & Zoe

Last weekend (10th October 2015) I had the pleasure of Mel (one of my long term second shooters) photograph her first wedding for me as an associate photographer. I was incredibly excited to see how she would go. She had such a wonderful day photographing David and Zoe and they couldn’t speak more highly of having Mel as their photographer. So here is a little sneak peek and a short run through of the day as told by Mel:

We started the day off at the boys in Toogoolawah. We were threatened by a brief rain shower, but luckily the rain held off for us and we were able to have the photos taken outside. The boys were ready and waiting when we arrived and looked very handsome in their suits. We headed out to a little dirt road for some fun shoots before heading off to the girls.

The girls were getting ready at Zoe’s mums house in Esk and the house was a buzz with excitement. The girls were getting the finishing touches done to their hair and make up before getting dressed. Zoe wanted to surprise her mum in her dress, as she had not been to any of the fittings. It was an emotional and beautiful first look for Zoe and her mum. Zoe and the girls wore cute denim sorts under their dresses with the words Bride and Junior on them. Then it was off to the church as the cars had arrived.

During the morning David had been messaging Zoe making sure she was running on time. Zoe wasn’t just on time, she arrived at the church 20 minutes before the ceremony was schedule to start! The earliest a bride has ever arrived to any ceremony we have had.

After the ceremony we found some shelter from the heat under the shade of a tree for some family photos, before heading off towards the reception hall, stopping along the way for some photos. We stopped beside the road where there was a handmade bench seat under a tree. A beautiful little spot for some photos.

Zoe had done an amazing job with decorating the reception hall with beautiful old books and tea cups, saucers and teapots for their high tea reception.

We had such a great day with Zoe and David and the Bridal Party.
