Walkabout Creek Wedding | A Real Life Story…

Amy & Aaron | Wedding | The Gap | 21st April 2012

Back in April, Priya and I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Amy and Aaron. We had such a wonderful day photographing their wedding. The sun was shining, Walkabout Creek at the Gap was an amazing backdrop to celebrate the love between Amy and Aaron. Amy looked stunning in her gorgeous gown and Aaron looked pretty handsome all dressed up in his suit, but I think it was little William who stole the show. He looked super cute in his little suit and volleys to match. Here is their real life story.

Date of Wedding: 21st April 2012
Number of Guests: 70
Theme: Romantic Lilac

How did you meet and how long have you know each other?

Amy: Aaron and I met in high school, we started dating at just 14 years old and have been together ever since!

How did he propose?

Amy: He proposed on a trip to Vanuatu, whilst we were exploring some of the local waterfalls. I had no idea that he had planned to do it then, and was very surprised!

Amy: Our stand out vendors were PennyLane Bridal, Nicole Barralet Photography, John Boyle Entertainment and Makeup 4 Brides. These four vendors went out of their way to ensure a wonderful wedding experience for us, and everyone that attended.

Do you have any advice for other brides?

Amy: Although the little details can be consuming try not to stress about them. After the event you honestly won’t think about if you had the correct shade napery, or if the timetable was adhered to. You’ll remember the people, the laughs and the little moments with your husband and family

What made your wedding day so memorable?

Amy: We made a conscious decision to have a relaxed atmosphere at our wedding and the result was that we both remained stress free and really enjoyed ourselves.

What was the weather and location like on the day?

Amy: There had been rain for the three Saturday’s before, and the following Saturday but we had a lovely warm and sunny day

If there was one thing that you would change from the day, what would it be and why?

Amy: Nothing at all.
