Sevine & Christian | Wedding | Old Government House & Brisbane Botanical Gardens | 16th September 2011
On Friday we had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Sevine & Christian’s wedding day. We were all hoping for a beautiful sunny day, and Brisbane didn’t disappoint. In fact there was not a cloud in the sky, and it felt like summer had arrived early. We met the bride and the groom prior to the ceremony for getting ready photos at the Brisbane Sofitel. The boys were cool calm and collection (even if there was a minor shirt malfunction (sleeves too short) and Christian’s Dad was hilarious! He thought it was quite entertaining that I photographed the boys shoes! (Why not I say!!) Christian is from Sweden originally with a many of his family members heading out to Australia for the occasion. It was very special for Sevine & Christian to have so many people travel such a long way to be with them.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Old Government House at QUT. I have never photographed in this building, but it was amazing. The light was just devine and a really heartfelt beautiful ceremony even included a few happy tears. After the ceremony we headed into the Botanical Gardens for some formal portraits. I just love Spring in the gardens – the flowers were in bloom, everything was green and the sky was a perfect blue. We finished off the formals with a city scape and a beautiful handmade “Just Married” photo in their classic limo before we headed off to the Fox Hotel for their reception.
Well it was such a pleasure to be part of your very special day! Your Swedish rellies were a hoot and I hope you enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait to show you the rest when you get back!
