Trudee | Boudoir | Brisbane | 4th March 2015
A couple of weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful Trudee in the studio. Trudee wanted to come in and create a beautiful present for her partner for their anniversary and for Valentine’s Day but also to celebrate the woman that she is. She had wanted to do a boudoir session for ages, but never had the guts to do it, until finally she threw caution to the wind and came in. Here is her boudoir experience.
Describe myself in three words:
Fun, Honest & passionate.
Three things people might not know about me:
I love the 50s – cars & fashion. I collect different things from vintage glassware to 80s toys and I’m passionate about children’s causes, welfare and protection.
Describe 3 things you wanted the boudoir session represent:
Playfulness, fun and cheekiness.
How do you feel about your body?
My body carried and protected my children. Before session I did view my body with lots of flaws.
What is my go to item when I want to feel absolutely gorgeous:
Lingerie & perfume.
What’s is your best tip for feeling beautiful?
Tidy eyebrows, clean skin & lipgloss.
What does confidence mean to you?
It is essential & very important as it’s something I want my children to see and learn from me so they can carry themselves through any situation and knowing I had a hand in teaching them that.
Why did you book a boudoir session with Nicole Barralet photography?
I always wanted a sexy photo shoot and saw her website & Facebook page and after talking with Nicole i felt excited about doing this, she is amazing.
What does the term boudoir photography mean to you?
It means sexy, classy and fun to me.
How did you find the experience of being photographed by Nicole?
I loved it, Nicole made the whole experience fun and I felt amazing. It is definitely the highlight as far as making memories goes and it was more fun than i could of ever anticipated.
How did your partner react to the gift?
He loved it, he was totally blown away & touched. He proudly has his photo box on his bedside drawer.
Has the experience of having a boudoir photo session helped you feel more confident, more empowered, sexy and comfortable with being a woman?
It has done all that and more, it has given me a new appreciation of myself and that I am more than just a mum, i am a woman and a happier one at that. I feel more in-tune with me.
And I received the most beautiful testimonial from Trudee. It was a little long to post in its entirety, so check out Facebook for the full post, but here is a little section of how Trudee felt about her boudoir experience.
Thank you Trudee for having the courage to come in to the studio and do a boudoir session with me. I truly felt like it was a privilege to have met you and help you along in your self confidence journey. This is why I love photographing boudoir.
