Brisbane Boudoir Photography | Why a boudoir session is a collaboration between the client and photographer…

Today I wanted to chat about the importance of collaboration during your photo shoot. Recently I have been thinking a lot about all the different types of photo sessions that I capture. I was thinking about the good ones, the challenging ones and how my clients felt about the end results. And it got me thinking about the power of collaboration.

Every photo session that I capture is a collaboration between myself and my client. The end results are determined by the photographer and how I walk the client through the planning process and how much effort the client puts in.

As a photographer, I will lead you through the session planning process. I will send you all of the information about the session, what to wear, what to bring and things to do before the session.

Then the client needs to read all of the information, send back the questionnaire, think about the hair and makeup look, do all their beauty prep and bring the outfits that they wish to be photographed in.

But collaboration isn’t just about the stuff to do prior to the session or the things to wear, collaboration is also an attitude. It’s an attitude about being open at the session. To believing in yourself. To trusting the process. To trusting the photographer.

Then the magic will happen. I promise, I will be there to guide, coach and direct you to look and feel your very best!
