One of the most common questions I get as a photographer is “What do I wear?” to my family photo session. So today I thought I would share some inspiration for the family to get the ideas rolling…
My biggest piece of advice is don’t mix and match too many patterns at once. Pick a colour tone or a pattern and mix and match around that.
And make sure that you are comfortable, that all the pieces of clothing suit your body shape. And don’t be afraid to add a little colour.
Or grab some floral and get inspired by Spring…
It really just comes down to choosing items that work well together. Similar tones.
Blues and neutrals always photograph really nice.
Or even a pop of a bright colour can work well. Have fun, express who you are and see what you have in your wardrobe and what works together.
If you are unsure, place all the outfits that you think on a bed and leave the room. Come back in a couple of hours and see if anything jumps out as it will stand out in the photos. If everything works, then you’ve got the mix right!
And PS how cool are these collages?? I found this awesome app called Polyvore that lets you create collages of clothes and even purchase them online.. so if you get stuck, google it!!
