Last week I had the pleasure of heading down to Melbourne for 5 days on a bit of a creative recharge holiday before wedding season officially kicks back off for the end of the year. My lovely friend Deb was my willing accomplice and we had a wonderful 5 days. Melbourne is such a magical city – even with it’s crazy weather, which we certainly experienced during one of our photo walks. Melbourne has a real artsy vibe, amazing culture, buildings and alleyways that are just begging to be photographed, great shopping and of course the food, wine and coffee. It was wonderful to not have any set plans and just wake up each day and figure out what we were going to do. I was also lucky enough to catch up with two of my gorgeous photography friends and it was great just being able to talk shop, art and inspiration.
Deb and I also did another one of our photo challenges – where we just head out with our cameras a theme and just photograph. We kind of did this the whole time in Melbourne especially as we were both playing and testing out our new cameras. And here are some of our results. I have really been enjoying just going out for a walk to wander around and just take photographs. Generally we give ourselves a theme, but Melbourne kind of became our theme.. And reflections was something that I found myself taking lots of photos of. I can’t say how much just getting out and about has helped with my creativity. I am really loving it and can’t wait to try out some new ideas for upcoming weddings.
So thanks Deb for an awesome week in Melbourne! I had a ball and can’t wait to our next photo walk next month!
