Over the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of attending the awesome Outside Tribe Music & Art’s Festival! Outside Tribe is a music festival like no other. It is a combination of music, arts, markets, family, camping and good times. Started five years ago as a birthday party, everyone enjoyed the experience so much that Taylor & Jess decided to put it on again… and again.. and grew it to what it is today. They really wanted to create a unique family friendly experience that all ages would enjoy. And enjoy we did!

There were so many awesome activities for the kids from the craft corner to jumping castle to hula hooping. The kids had an absolute ball!
As well as the main stage their was a food truck and market area for everyone to enjoy.
The first act of the day Dan Poloni who really got the lunchtime grooves happening.
After Dan, the lovely Dana Gehrman bought her unique 70’s country inspired vibe to the crowd. Dan also joined Dana on stage for a few tunes.
Joshua Jacobz was the awesome busker who played in between the main stage over in the market area.
After Dana the lovely Shukura Chapman took to the stage. Shukura is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who’s sounds could be described as a fusion of soul, roots and blues.
Then Boatkeeper took to the stage. Boatkeeper was one of my fave bands! Seriously go check them out on iTunes/Spotify. I have been listening to their EP all day! This awesome band from Nth Queensland could be described as soulful acoustic folk!
One of the unique aspects of this music festival is that it is family friendly. It was so awesome to see the kids dancing around in front of the stage throughout the day enjoying the music.
After Boatkeeper the lovely Emily Wurramara brought her beautiful indigenous folk to the stage.
As the sun set the psychedelic rock band Papperbok took the vibe from afternoon to even.
As soon as the sun had completely set, the bonfire was lit and the awesome Deena took to the stage. Deena’s sound could be described as gritty fierce indie rock.
After Deena set the move and started the crowd moving, Elko Fields took to the stage. And seriously all I can say about these guys is WOW! Elko Fields owned that stage and brought the house down with their rock and roll!
Then the Brown Sounds Synthesizer Experience took to the stage and the crowd went wild to their retro tunes.
Nothing like a bit of 80’s pop to get the crowd moving!
The second last act for the night were The Honey Sliders who rocked out with their eclectic mix of rock, soul, country and blues.
Dana also joined the Honey Sliders on stage for a few tunes
The final act of the night was local band Bullhorn. Bullhorn ended the night with a brass bang! This brass band MC lead had everyone on their feet enjoying their sweet tunes.
What an amazing day & night. GD and I had such a ball capturing video and photos of the day. A massive thank you to Taylor & Jess for putting on the event and asking us to be involved! Can’t wait for the next one!!
