On Sunday afternoon, I got out of my comfort zone and faced the challenge of Miss Muddy – a roughly 5km obstacle course of varying challenges that finished with a glass of Sangria, foam pit and a massive slippery slide. There were 7 of us on the All for Mary Miss Muddy team, easily identifiable by our team shirts and crazy bright red bobs. We had a team motto of leave no red head behind and help and encourage everyone through each obstacle. It was awesome!! Absolutely freezing, but so much fun!! We had many obstacles of tyres, colour cannon, an ice bath, mud crawl, slippery slides, spiders web and of course the massive slide at the end. My favourite was the ice bath, as being a freezing cold windy day, I just ran up, jumped in and faced the challenge head on. It inspired the rest of the girls who were contemplating chickening out! It was freezing, but I can tick that off my bucket list now! We had so much fun and laughter and it was great to see the team coming together and helping everyone through. I was able to take my go pro on the course with me (although I totally suck at taking go pro photos! ha!) but we were able to capture a few shots here and there. Thanks team for a great afternoon! I had an absolute blast getting muddy and outside my comfort zone! Definitely up for it next year!! And I encourage you all to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself. You will have a blast!!
The above photo was the best shot of the day on the go pro. I really need to figure out how to use it properly! ha!
