Today I wanted to chat a little more about our viewing appointments and how we help your choose your favourite photographs.
Here at NBP, our photography sessions are a two part process and two part payment. The first payment is for the session fee. This secures your booking and covers you for the time it takes to photograph the session. Then the second part of the process is the purchasing of photographs. We do this at the viewing and ordering appointment generally 1-2 weeks after the photo shoot. So today I wanted to run through what happens in an ordering appointment.
When you first arrive to the studio, we will greet you and you can have a seat in our viewing room. We chat for a moment or two before we show you a beautiful slideshow of your photographs from the session. It is always so beautiful to see all the different photographs we have captured. Generally for a portrait session this is between 40-50 photos.
Then once the slideshow is over, we go through all the photos and work out which ones are your favourites. To do this, we use a rating system from 1 to 5 stars. 1 star means no so much, 3 star means I like it and 5 star means LOVE.
Then we just look at the 4 and 5 star photos. Generally throughout this process we usually half the photos and then from there we work out what you want to do with them.
We chat about the package or individual products you are looking at to display your photos such as prints, wall art or a beautiful album.
We have a no pressure sales philosophy here at NBP, we only want to you buy what you love. All of our packages come with digital and a printed option as we believe it is super important to have something tangible to display the photos rather than just digitals.
Once we have decided on the absolute must have photos and the way you want to display them, then we finalise payment or organise a payment plan.
