Over the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the beautiful wedding day of Tim and Eloise. It was such a special day to be part of. Witnessing and capturing the love that these two share was so special. They truly love each other deeply and the day was all about celebrating that love with their closest friends and family.
We started the day with the boys getting ready at the Meriton apartments in Brisbane. It had the most stunning views and we were incredibly lucky to have a gorgeous day (and not crazy wet weather like they had predicted). Tim was so excited to get married and the boys were so easy to photograph. One of my favourite details from the day was the way Tim and Eloise had presented the rings for Felix to capture. The rings were tied on to a drum stick and a Harry Potter wand (Tim is a drummer and Eloise is Harry Potter obsessed!). It was such a special thing to be able to incorporate two of their loves into their wedding day.
After we finished with the boys, we were off to Emporium to photograph the girls. The lovely ladies from Brush & Blush were just finishing up as we arrived. The girls hair and makeup looked absolutely stunning and Eloise was nervously waiting to pop her gorgeous dress on. The lovely Venita Drennen made a gorgeous champagne custom gown for Eloise that fit her perfectly and added a regal elegance to the day. And her gorgeous flowers from Hudson Floral Couture matched perfectly. One of the bridesmaids said the flowers were like someone had wandered through a meadow and pulled together a gorgeous bunch of beautiful flowers. I couldn’t agree more. After some gorgeous prep photographs, it was off to the ceremony.
The beautiful ceremony was held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in South Brisbane. Father Stephen officiated a beautiful heartfelt wedding ceremony with a few special touches including one of their good friends singing beautiful songs throughout the ceremony. It was such a beautiful ceremony to be part of. After their union was sealed with a kiss, they signed the paperwork before exiting the church for a group and family photos.
Then it was off to The Powerhouse and New Farm Park for some bridal party portraits. These guys were an absolute dream to photograph. Tim and Eloise were absolutely besotted by each other and I barely had to say anything for them to create beautiful portraits. They were just happy to be present in the moment and celebrating their love. And the bridal party were absolutely awesome too. So helpful, attentive and lots of fun.
Before we knew it, we were back to Emporium for their reception. The reception was full of so many beautiful speeches (I especially loved Tim’s brother’s “Lego” themed best man speech… I will not lego..), a beautiful cake was cut from Deliberately Delicious and one of the most beautiful moments of the night was a surprise Eloise didn’t know about, an original song sung by her two brothers and sister in law. It was absolutely beautiful!! And after a beautiful first dance, they partied the rest of the night away.
Thank you Tim and Eloise for such an amazing day. It was such a privilege to be part of your day, capture your love and witness your joy. I also have to thank Jess for being an awesome second shooter and for GD for capturing some beautiful video footage. I can’t wait to share the highlights film! Enjoy your sneaky peek and I can’t wait to show you all your gorgeous photos when you get back from your honeymoon!
One of my favourite moments to capture is the moment right after the first kiss.. Look at the pure joy on their faces!
