Over the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Paul and Megan. It was such a gorgeous day (despite the freak mid afternoon storm) and we had the most spectacular sunset to end the night! We started the day off with the boys at their home. Paul was very chilled with a slight twinkling of nerves.
After the photos with the boys, it was off to the girls where hair and makeup were just finishing up! I absolutely loved the colour scheme Megan had choosen – orange and blue just popped against her gorgeous dress!
Luckily we were able to capture some gorgeous outdoor photos just before the storm hit! And thankfully it had already passed by the time Megan arrived at St Paschals for the ceremony. The church was just beautiful and I had goosebumps as Megan walked in accompanied by bagpipes and drums! After a traditional Catholic ceremony, the exchanging of vows and rings, Paul and Megan were pronounced husband and wife! And sealed their union with a kiss!
Then we headed off to Brisbane Racing Club for some photos and the reception. Paul and Megan absolutely love architecture and the Brisbane Racing Club was perfect for their photos! I especially love the brick tunnel!
And who doesn’t love confetti!! Especially eco confetti that bio-degrades!! It was so much fun sprinkling them with confetti!!
And then just as the sun hit the horizon, we captured this gorgeous rainbow followed by the most incredible sunset sky!! I mean look at those colours!!!
Then it was time to head inside the tote room where a gorgeous long table was set up for a banquet feast! All of the gorgeous little details really made the room come alive.
Paul and Megan made one of the best entrances to a reception I have ever witnessed!! They sprang out from behind the curtain, danced and then high fived their way around the room!!
The evening was filled with so many beautiful speeches, lots of laughter and good food and of course a gorgeous cake cutting!
Then Paul and Megan wowed their guests with an incredible choreographed first dance!!
Before dancing the night away with their guests!!And before long, it was time to say farewell so Paul and Megan left the reception with an epic confetti tunnel!!
Paul and Megan, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wedding day. We had the most incredible day!! A massive thanks to Sam for being my second shooter and I can’t wait to show you the rest soon!!
