On Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Tara and Carmen. It took as a little while to get her, but the day had finally arrived. And what a day we had. Even though the morning was a little chilly, the day couldn’t of been more perfect with clear blue skies and a gorgeous sunset!
We started off the day with Tara and his brother Morea. Morea was the family representative from Papa New Guinea where Tara is from and the best man for the day. I know his family were there with us in spirit and no doubt are keen to see the photos (hello!). The boys were so much fun to photograph and really got into the spirit of things with the photos.
After the photos with the boys, we headed over to see the girls. There was a lot more happening with champagne being popped and hair and makeup just being finished. The lovely ladies from Blush & Brush created Carmen and the girls stunning hair and makeup looks. I always love working with these ladies. Carmen looked absolutely divine in her custom made Susan Ogg and the gorgeous headpiece. It sparkled just as much as her eyes did.
The girls looked absolutely stunning in their gorgeous gowns and the flowers from Unveiling Poppy were just divine. I absolutely adored the beautiful colour combination!
Doesn’t Carmen look incredible!
How insanely adorable do all of the nieces and nephews look?! It was so special to have them be part of the day and I was super impressed as to how well behaved they all were!
After a beautiful traditional church ceremony, they were pronounced husband and wife!
Yes, they are married!
After some family photographs it was off to Brisbane Racing Club for the bridal party portraits and evening reception. We had so much fun walking around the beautiful grounds of the club. There are so many gorgeous locations for photos.
The boys had such a blast all day. They looked super cute in their suspenders and loved playing it up for the photos.
When looking through all of the photographs from the day, one thing I noticed when looking at Tara and Carmen’s expressions is that I have never seen either of them look so incredibly happy. They were both just radiating with love and joy. Such a beautiful thing to witness as a photograph.. and it made my job of capturing their love so easy.
After the gorgeous photographs it was off to The Society Rooftop for drinks and nibbles before a beautiful sit down dinner with 40 of their nearest and dearest. Their gorgeous cake was made by the lovely Cake That and looked absolutely divine. I’m sure it tasted incredible.
And as the sun set, it was time for us to head off and let the happy couple celebrate into the night. Look at the
A massive thank you to Tara and Carmen for inviting us to be part of your wedding day. It was such a privilege to capture your love. A massive shout out to Jess for coming out and second shooting with me. Enjoy your sneaky peek!
