Over the weekend I was lucky enough to head out with Tim and Andy on their yacht “The Lady Gladys”. The lady is a new addition to our family, and with all my photo commitments and the crazy weather that we have been having, last Saturday was the first time that we were able to head out on the lady for some sailing on the bay. Even though the day was dismal (no sun, freezing cold and windy) it was the perfect 10-15 knots for learning how to sail “The Lady”.
As I have been feeling in a bit of a rut lately, I decided that I would take on the role as documentor of our adventures on the lady. For my birthday I bought myself a new little point and shoot camera which I thought was more appropriate to take out on the water (I had visions and nightmares of me dropping my very expensive camera and lens over the side…) but it was really fun to play. It was the first time that I had used the camera to take some video so I thought I would make a little fusion video showing the photos and the video together.
If you have never been sailing before, then you are missing out. It is so fun. Just the sound of the sea, the boat gently making its way through the way. No distractions, it really puts everything into perspective. I can’t wait to go out on a sunny day!
Happy Wednesday Peeps!
