Anne & Friends | Food | Pullenvale | 15th July 2011
On Friday night, Andrew and I headed out to Pullenvale to cook dinner for the lovely Anne, her husband and her four friends who won a dinner party to be cooked by Andrew. The money raised was for Ipswich Special School and it was a priviledge for Andrew and I to be able to help out. Andrew created a beautiful 5 course tasting menu which was a sneak peak from the new menu at the Sebel Citigate King George Square. I came along to play waitress and photographer.
Here is the menu from the night:
Coriander scallop, sorrell and ricotta dumpling, smoked egg plant custard and preserved lemon paint
Suveé lavendar duck with parsnip whip, citrus salad, black garlic soil, granny smith apple and ginger beer foam
Blackend barramundi, prawn and lime mousseline, scalded heirloom tomatoes, braised fennel, ice filtered consummé
Smoked veal with pumpkin puree, baby purple carrots, jus and wood salt
Textures of berries with yoghurt marshmallow, sherbet and white chocolate powder
It was a lovely night had by all and we really enjoyed creating and serving the food. Here’s a couple photos of the beautiful dishes served! The guests where very impressed with the food and can’t stop raving about the night.
