On Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the beautiful wedding day of Brett & Kristie! The day started off warm with beautiful blue skies, then a little thunderstorm came through while we were out and about on the golf course for photos. The rain however didn’t dampen the spirits of Brett & Kristie. They were great troopers getting out and about in the rain.
We started off the day with the boys getting ready at their home. The boys were pumped with music and beverages flowing, super hero socks and little page boy Aston showing us all of his super hero moves. After some assistance the boys were ready and photos were taken. They looked great in their suits with suspenders and bow ties. Then it was off to the girls where hair and makeup was just being finished. The gorgeous girls from Velbella created Kristie absolutely stunning look that complimented perfectly her gorgeous blingy Luv Bridal gown. The flowers were absolutely divine with a combination of white roses, carnations and chrysanthemums. The team at Bloom Berry did an amazing job. After some gorgeous photos of the girls, it was off to Gainsborough Greens for the beautiful ceremony.
Overlooking the golf course, the lovely Angela Pennisi married these guys in a short but sweet ceremony. They sealed their union with a kiss and their guests blew bubbles as they walked down the aisle. After a group photo and family photos, we were battling an impending storm as bridal party photos were happening. Luckily for us, the rain stayed fairly light and Kristie was prepared with a collection of umbrellas. I absolutely loved that we had beautiful diffused light, gorgeous rainy photos, cute umbrella shots, dramatic clouds and a hint of golden sunlight as part of the photos. A photographers dream. After a drive around the course and a couple of putts for Brett it was time to enter the reception and party the night away.
A big thank you to both Brett & Kristie for inviting me to photograph your day. Mel and I had a wonderful day. Despite the weather I think we got some pretty awesome photos. Enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait to show you the rest when you get home. And a big thanks to Mel for helping me out too!
