Hillstone St Lucia Wedding Photographer | A Real Life Wedding Story – Matt & Suzie

Back in July I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Matt & Suzie at Hillstone St Luica. It was such a beautiful winter’s day filled with so much love, laughter and good times. Both Mel and I felt like we were family on the day. I absolutely love hearing back from my couples about how they felt their wedding day went, any advice they have for other brides and of course their experience being photographed by me. So here is Matt & Suzie’s Real Life Wedding Story as told by Suzie.

No special reason, just worked well

Where did you have your wedding?

We had a candle lighting ceremony to symbolise 2 families becoming 1

Wonderful experience – everyone was so friendly and always made me feel beautiful. This was probably the 5th of so dress I tried on but as soon as I did I knew it was the one. I went back one week later and tried on the 2 I’d narrowed it down to but knew all along this was the one

Where there any special details you included in your day? Did you borrow a piece of jewellery etc?
I had a charm with my nana’s picture around my flowers to remember her & borrowed one of her hankies that my sister also used on her wedding day

What was your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?
Something old – a photo of my grandmother in a locket around my bouquet
Something new – My Sarah Walsh Bridal Jewellery
Something borrowed & blue – A hanky with blue stitching from my Grandmother. My sister also used it at her wedding.

Did you have any DIY elements to your day?
We decorated the cake topper, ‘mr & mrs yates’ sign on the head table & made our table numbers. We also made our seating chart & menu’s etc
