Kye | Cake Smash | Out in the Wood | 26th September 2010
Over the weekend I did my very first 1st Birthday cake smash. I photographed the cheeky little Kye way back in February and boy has he grown! He has just started to walk and is so much more expressive. He was very intrigued by the long black lens I had on my camera and wanted to come close and have a look.
We started off the afternoon with some informal family photos in Kye’s elmo room. Kye (or his mum) really love Elmo. His whole first birthday was featured around Seasame Street and even all the guests had to wear something to do with it. We started the session in Kye’s very own Elmo suit and Grover even poped by to say hello.
Then we headed out into the living room for some fun with a cake smash. At first Kye wasn’t really sure as to what to do, but once we put his hand in the cake and he put some in his mouth, he was sold! He just kept eating until he was covered from head to toe and it was time for a bath.
Well Mr Kye, I hope you had a fabulous birthday. It was so much fun photographing you and your lovely parents again. I really enjoyed the cake smash and hopefully it didn’t make you too hypo for the rest of the afternoon!
Live. Love. Laugh. Create.
