Louise & Glenn | Wedding | Uniting Church & Brookwater Golf Club | 1st June 2013
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Louise & Glenn. I was a little worried in the lead up to the big day that the weather was going to be less then co-operative, but we were incredibly lucky. And even though the sky was covered in cloud for the majority of the day, we had no rain. We started the day with the boys at Louise & Glenn’s beautiful home. They are in the middle of renovating and the sanded walls made for such an interesting shooting space. The boys were all organised and calm and we were able to capture some great photos of them getting ready.
Then it was off to Louise’s parents house – another beautiful Queenslander to photograph the girls getting ready. Louise looked stunning and I just loved her Swan Lake inspired dress. It was beautiful – a gorgeous tulle creation with a feathered bodice! It suited her perfectly! She even had some ballet slippers from her days of ballet that we were able to capture a couple of gorgeous shots of her getting ready with her ballet slippers!
Then it was off to the Uniting Church in Ipswich for the beautiful ceremony. The ceremony was heartfelt and very beautiful with many words of advice for achieving a happy marriage. Their union was sealed with a kiss and we headed outside for some family photographs. Then it was off to UQ at Ipswich for some location photographs. I just love photographing at UQ and every time I go there, I find a new little space, or another creative way to capture some beautiful photographs. Unfortunately we didn’t get a great sunset with all of the cloud cover, but we were able to capture a beautiful shot of the pink and purple sky. I just love how the weather is always so surprising and keeps us as photographers on our toes.
We all then headed off to the Brookwater Golf Club for the reception. The food and service of the staff at Brookwater were amazing. Everything flowed flawlessly and the food was delicious! Priya and I photographed the full reception and it was so wonderful being there for the speeches. We could truly tell how lucky Louise & Glenn are to be surround by beautiful friends and family and we could see how loved they truly are. This really showed in all the speeches. I especially loved the story about Glenn’s Mum meeting Louise for the first time.
Thank you so much Louise & Glenn for inviting us to be part of your special day. We truly had a wonderful day capturing some beautiful memories for you both. Enjoy your sneak peek and I will see you both when you get back from your honeymoon!
