On Sunday I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Rob and Rebecca. After hearing the weather reports all week about all this rain coming, we were all a bit relieved when we woke up to a beautiful clear day (even if it was a little foggy to start with). We started the day off with the boys out at Forestdale. The boys were awesome and all super relaxed. Rob was pretty excited to be marrying the girl of his dreams! And we were even able to surprise him with a gorgeous Little Black Book that Bec and I schemed to produce.. we even arranged for his motorbike to appear! I was lucky enough to capture his reaction and it was priceless! He couldn’t believe his eyes.. especially when he saw the bike!
After the photos with the boys it was off to Sanctuary Cove to see the girls. Hair and makeup was just finishing up and the two flower girls were so excited to be part of the day. Bec was looking radiant with her gorgeous Hair by Laura and her stunning makeup by Mel from House of Beauty. And that dress! Bec looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous dress from Luv Bridal. The bridesmaids looked stunning in their magenta wrap dresses. After some photos, we were off to Links Hope Island for the ceremony. After arriving in Rob & his Dad’s pride and joy, the lovely Bec was walked down the aisle by her Mum. The lovely Tarnya Bennett crafted a beautiful, heartfelt personal ceremony where Rob and Bec were married. They both wrote their own personal vows and throughout the entire ceremony, they gazed into each other’s eyes as though they were the only two people out on the lawn. After the vows, the exchange of the rings, they added a special personal thank you to both their Mums for the important role they have played in their lives up until then before they were pronounced husband and wife.
After a group photo and some gorgeous family photos, we headed off with the bridal party in and around the beautiful golf course. Links Hope Island has the most beautiful spots for photographs – fig trees, grass and a gorgeous bridge. As the sun set, we were back in the fountain room to celebrate the rest of the evening with Rob and Bec. The kids absolutely loved the reception. They were spoilt with a table full of presents, the loved the photo booth props and danced long into the night. We had so many beautiful speeches, the cutting of the cake and a magical first dance. Before long we knew it was time to toss the bouquet and garter and say our farewells.
A massive thank you to both for the privilege of photographing your wedding day. It was such a beautiful day to be part of. A big thank you to Maree for also coming out second shooting with me and keeping me entertained while stopped in roadworks on the way home. Enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait to show you the rest!!!
Check out Rob’s reaction below when he received his little black book!
Both Rob and Bec were quite emotional as Bec walked down the aisle. It was so beautiful to witness.
This was the cutest moment of the day.. the little flower girl was dressed ready for bed as it had been a big day. She was so tuckered out that she grabbed her blanket and settled in on the dance floor to go to sleep!
