Hollie & Matthew | Wedding | Springfield Lakes | 18th September 2011
On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Hollie & Matthew on their wedding day. It was the last day of my 3 weddings in a row and I was super excited that it was still nice and bright and sunny. The smoke was still hanging around, but gave us beautiful golden afternoon light. We started the day at the grooms house for some formal portraits of the boys chilling out. Then off to the brides where our bride was completely calm and excited to be getting ready to marry the man of her dreams! Hollie and Matthew have been together for just on ten years and they make such a sweet couple. A simple yet beautiful loving ceremony held by Rosemary Arnold overlooking Springfield Lakes is where the couple sealed their 10 year union with their first kiss as husband and wife.
After the ceremony and some family formals, we headed around the beautiful lakes for some location photos. The light was just magical! A pure golden backlight (any photographers dream) accentuated by the clouds of smoke hanging around gave this simple park background a magical feel. To top it off, I had a black photo frame in the back of my car and pulled it out for some fun shots with the bridal party.
It was a pleasure to photograph your beautiful day and was a lovely way to finish off my super busy weekend. A big shout out to Priya and Ari who accompanied me over the weekend as second shooters! I don’t know how I would of been able to get through the weekend with out you both. I hope Hollie and Matthew you are enjoying your honeymoon and I will catch up with you to show you the rest once you return!
