Toogoolawah Country Wedding | A Real Life Wedding…

Jacinta & Cory | Wedding | Toogoolawah | 22nd November 2011

Back in September, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the wedding of Jacinta and Cory. It was an amazing day and one of my favourite wedding shoots all year due to the spectacular location of their wedding – their home. It was such an amazing day surrounded by the family and friends who meant the most to them, gorgeous weather and pure love between best friends. We had so much fun photographing this wedding and it will definitely be one that I will remember for a long time! Here is their real life wedding story…

Date of Wedding: 17th September 2011
Number of Guests: 120
Theme: Country

How did you meet and how long have you know each other?

Jacinta: Cory and I have known each other for 3 years now. We met as usually happens, when we least expected to meet anyone and happy being single. I had been a teacher in Cory’s home town of Toogoolawah for three years and had never met him or even seen him before, which is strange in a small town. After a few drinks, a friend and I decided to go to the local pub to meet up with someone my friend knew and she pointed Cory out. I thought nothing of it until one of my students’ parents yelled out across the pub, “Hey Jacinta, this is Cory he wants to meet you.” I couldn’t shake the guy, he followed us home, despite protests of being able to walk home ourselves. And I haven’t been able to shake him since. He’s here to stay.

How did he propose?

Jacinta: Cory had been talking about proposing for a while but I didn’t want to know when or how. While we were on holidays back at his family property, he took me to our favourite spot on the property that over looked the Brisbane Valley. It was cool, overcast and windy, perfect for being close. We spent some time talking and enjoying the view, he seemed nervous and so I was beginning to wonder, then he got down on one knee and proposed. We were married on that very same spot almost a year later.

How did you find your overall experience with the above vendors?

Jacinta: Absolutely fantastic. I loved everything about the day and the above vendors made the day what it was. I could not have asked from better service from all of the vendors. Highly recommended.

Do you have any advice for other brides?

Jacinta: The same advice that was given to me, just enjoy the day. It all goes so fast.

What made your wedding day so memorable?

Jacinta: The fact that Cory and I had worked together towards the wedding and the day and we both loved all of it. We also loved having so many wonderful people to share it with.

What was the weather and location like on the day?

Jacinta: We though the location on the day was amazing, but that’s because it’s our home. The weather was very hot and then very cold and smoky due to people burning off on their properties.

If there was one thing that you would change from the day, what would it be and why?

Jacinta: No, to me everything was perfect and I was told not to sweat the small stuff!
