Jacinta & Cory | Wedding | Toogoolawah | 17th September 2011
On Saturday we had the privilege of heading out to the country to photograph the beautiful wedding of Jacinta & Cory! And what a day it was! Another warm day with just the hint of smoke haze from all the surrounding bush fires. But that didn’t matter, it just gave the sunset a little more magic! The wedding was set on the groom’s family property which had been in his family since the 1920’s and to which Jacinta & Cory will inherit and run completely at the end of this year. It was a magical location with a marquee being pitched for the day, the ceremony on top of a beautiful hill with panoramic views of the township and acres and acres of farming land filled with paddocks, fig trees, creeks, sheds, cows and horses made for spectacular location photos. The groomsmen arrived via horseback to the ceremony which was held by the local Pastor. It was a beautiful sweet ceremony with tears from both the bride and groom and even a little drama (when the mum’s lit the family candle, one of them almost burnt the other! Not to worry, they just laughed about it!). After the ceremony we headed off on our adventure around the property for some beautiful photos! It was awesome! I got to test the Captiva out driving it off road around the farm and with a beautiful sunset were able to create some stunning memories for Jacinta and Cory.
At dusk we headed back to the marquee for a good old fashion country reception with a hand made bar, dinner cooked over a camp fire, caravans and tent’s pitched for the night. Their reception had no finishing time and no doubt went into the early hours of the morning. The speeches were heartfelt, the cake was amazing and I scored an amazing shot right at the end! What a magical day!!
Thank you to Jacinta & Cory. We felt like we were a part of your family for the day and I hope we have been able to truly capture some beautiful memories for you in such a special location. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak and can’t wait to show you the rest when you return from your honeymoon!
