Last year Mel photographed the wedding of David & Zoe out at Toogoolawah. They had such a wonderful day and David and Zoe couldn’t speak more highly of Mel. Here is their Real Life Wedding story as told by Zoe.

Through a mutual friend

What was your wedding date?
10th October 2015

Why did you choose this date? Any special reason?
The church chose for us.

Where did you have your wedding?
Mt Beppo Toogoolawah Apostolic Church

Was there any special touches, vows, traditions or tributes that you included into your ceremony?
If you could pick one special moment from the day to remember what would it be? Mum having a first look at my dress after I was fully dressed (she never saw it the whole time it was getting made)


The Gown….

Who designed your gown?
I did, but I had a dress maker Chris make it

Where was it purchased?
It was custom made for me

Where there any special details you included in your day? Did you borrow a piece of jewellery etc?
I was given my great gandmother’s engagement ring as mine, I also wore her hankie that she had on her wedding day

What was your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?
Something old: Great Nana’s Hankie
Something new: My Dress
Something borrowed: Mum’s Perfume
Something blue: My undies and my garter

Did you have any DIY elements to your day?
I designed my reception, made iced tea as refreshments

How did you find your overall experience with the above vendors?
I had a fantastic experience will all my vendors and I would recommend them to everyone



Do you have any advice for other brides?
Enjoy the day dont sweat the small things your day will go very quick it’ll be over before you know it, I forgot to pack the cufflinks for the boys!

What made your wedding day so memorable?
Just being a big family gathering having family that I haven’t seen for ages

What was the funniest memory from your wedding day?
Some of our photos, behind the scenes with the groomsmen and their photoshoot

What was the weather and location like on the day?
The weather was perfect sunny but not too hot

If there was one thing that you would change from the day, what would it be and why?
Nothing really major maybe just having some more photos with family

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Thailand, Bangkok and Phuket
