Toowoomba Wedding Photography | A Real Life Wedding Story…

Emmi & Danny | Wedding | Toowoomba | 30th April 2011

Back in April, I headed up the range to beautiful Toowoomba. I love love love photographing weddings in Toowoomba. There is such a diversity of locations within a close proximity to take beautiful wedding photos in. One of the highlights of this day as a photographer was when we were in Queens Park when a sun shower came across. It was lightly sprinkling with the sunlight illuminating the rain drops from behind. It was so magical!! We had a wonderful day photographing Emmi and Danny’s wedding. Here is their story…

How did you meet and how long have you known eachother?

Emmi: We meet through mutual friends & have known each other for over 10 years.

How did he propose?

Emmi: He came over to Lee & my house one night after he finished work, cause he was going to cook me dinner as Lee was away for the night. When he walked through the door I noticed there was something big in his pocket, so I asked what it was but he wouldn’t tell me. He then proceeded to make a wonderful dinner of sausages & spaghetti, all the while I keep asking what’s in his pocket. After we finished dinner he finally caved in & got down on one knee & said “Since you’re so impatient & need to know everything, will you marry me”, & he pulled out the ring from his pocket. I was totally shocked, I was not expecting that to be in there.

How did you find your overall experience with the above vendors?

Emmi: They were all very professional, & everything was done on time. It was really good to have the flowers ready 3 weeks before the wedding, that way there was no running around to do the morning of the wedding. And the dresses we had months before, which gave us plently of time for any alterations that we needed to do.

Do you have any advice for other brides?

Emmi: Relax & enjoy the day. Let your bridesmaids/groomsmen worry about all the little details, there were so many things that they did on the day for Dan & I that we didn’t even know about.

What made your wedding day so memorable?

Emmi: I would have to say the black eye, it will always give us something to laugh about. Also seeing Nicole’s relief when she realised that I knew about it & didn’t have to keep a secret.

What was the weather and location like on the day?

Emmi: It was a really beautiful day, considering the few day before were cold & windy. The sun was out & we even got a little shower in the afternoon when we were getting photo’s taken which made for some very beautiful shots.

If there was one thing that you would change from the day, what would it be and why?

Emmi: I wouldn’t change a single thing, everything ran smoothly.  We both had such a wonderful day.
