Today I wanted to share some of the most frequently asked questions about wedding photography coverage at NBP.
What is my style of wedding photography?
I love photographing weddings and I would describe my style of photography as relaxed, creative, candid and capturing the emotion. I love capturing a wedding day from start to finish and telling your story. I love capturing the big moments and all the little moments in between! I love capturing sequences of images in a creative way with beautiful light that tells a true love story. I want all of my brides and grooms and their bridal party to feel beautiful on their wedding day and have fun taking photos! I love being creative, thinking of different shots, getting down on the ground for a different perspective. As well as capturing all of the traditional shots that grandma would like to hang on the wall, I love having the freedom to think outside the box and create beautiful captivating imagery that you can’t wait to see.
How many photos do you take on a wedding day?
We photograph as many images on your day as we need to. We then edit the images down at our discretion to give you a minimum of 300 A-MAZING images to capture all of the important moments throughout the day. The number from each wedding day varies so if the coverage is longer, then there is more images!
Are the high res files or negatives included in your packages?
Yes, all of our packages included the high res files (digital negatives). When these files are released to you, we provide you with the rights for personal reproduction and can advise you on where to get your prints printed. We do retain the copyright of the images and the right to use them for advertising, promotional purposes on our website, blog and Facebook. If a supplier would like a copy of a photograph to use to promote their services, they are more then welcome to contact Nicole Barralet Photography and we will advise them on how to correctly credit our images.
What happens if the weather is bad? Have you photographed in the rain?
Yes, I have photographed weddings in the rain. The one thing that we can’t control as photographers is the weather. The weather really determines the style and the feel of the photographs from your wedding day. During our pre-wedding meeting, I will sit down and discuss all the details of your day and also talk about wet weather options for your location photos if it happens to be raining. Photographs in the rain can be beautiful and you shouldn’t stress if it is raining!!
And we also have a wet weather guarantee which means if it is completely torrential weather on your wedding day, you have the option to get dressed up again and re-shoot some couple portraits when the sun is shining.
Do you offer wedding videographer as well as photography?
Yes! We certainly do! GD is our exclusive videographer who loves filming and capturing beautiful wedding videos that tell your love story.
If we want an album, how does the album design process work?
As most couples are a little overwhelmed with the amount of photographs from their big day, we help out the album designing process by starting with a “Studio Sample” design. What this means is that we design a beautiful album telling the story of the day from a photographer’s prospective and as though the album would be used as a sample in the studio. We find that this gives us a great starting point in the direction of the album and we sit down together and work through to create a design that showcases your favourite photos from the day.
How do we go about booking our wedding with Nicole Barralet Photography?
The first thing you need to do is check Nicole’s availability. If she is available, then a deposit is required to secure that date. This means that Nicole will NOT take any other bookings for that day and you have her services exclusively. The booking fee for wedding photography is $500. As well as paying a booking fee, we also request that you fill in a booking form with contact details and our contract for our services. Together this will book your wedding date and we will excitedly count down the days with you!
How long after the wedding will it take for us to see our photographs?
After your wedding day, we like to blog a little sneak peek from your day a couple of days later (So for a Saturday wedding, usually a Monday) to get you excited about your wedding photos. We love that you can show off a few professional shots of your day to your friends and family. We also usually upload one or two to Facebook as well. After the initial sneak peek, we like to meet with you generally after your honeymoon (around 4 weeks) to sit down with you and present a slideshow of your day. From this we will design your album and produce all the products within your package. The timeline for albums and products after this date varies depending on what your package includes.
