Over the weekend we had the absolute pleasure of heading out to beautiful Kalbar to photograph the wedding of Michael & Nardine. Even though it is extremely dry out at Kalbar at the moment, we had the most beautiful day celebrating and capturing their love.
The first stop of the day was to the boys were they were getting ready at this beautiful retreat just outside Boonah. Michael was super chilled and the boys were on hand to help getting him dressed.
Then it was off to the girls who were staying at the Bunyip. The lodge had the most incredible views over the scenic rim. You could sit and watch the clouds roll in over the valley. Nardine was super excited to be getting married (even though she hardly had any voice) and the girls were excited to be helping her get ready. Mum too was also there to lend a hand.
How gorgeous are the girls dresses (hand made by a special friend) and those beautiful flowers!! So divine!
How incredible is the view! I just had to capture some gorgeous photos of Nardine walking in her wedding dress. And that car! I’m sure Nardine felt like royalty arriving to the chapel in this stunner!
Then it was off to the beautiful White Chapel Kalbar. Such a gorgeous little chapel and event space that is certainly bring this little town alive. Kalbar is an incredibly special place for both Michael and Nardine as their families both have history in the area.
Such a beautiful short and sweet ceremony filled with personal vows where Michael and Nardine became husband and wife. They exchanged rings and sealed their love with a kiss. So beautiful!
That newly married excitement!! Love love love how happy Nardine looks in this photo!
After a group photo and some gorgeous family photos we spent a few minutes around the chapel with the bridal party for some photos. There are so many beautiful spots around the grounds for photos. It was hard to choose!
Then we jumped on the bus with Michael, Nardine and her Mum Tracey and headed to Barton’s Rose Farm for some couple portraits. They have such a beautiful property to photograph on. So many gorgeous roses, big beautiful jacaranda trees and a cute little pond.
Then we headed down the road to a paddock and an old wooden bridge for these gorgeous paddock views.
And then just as we were heading back to the Black Hall for the reception, I just had to stop the bus and capture this stunning sunset over the paddocks. How gorgeous is that light! The perfect end to photos of these lovers!
Then it was back to Black Hall for an intimate reception with Michael and Nardine’s closest family and friends. With beautiful heartfelt speeches, a fun show game and a sweet first dance, they celebrated into the night!
Thank you both for asking us to capture your beautiful wedding day. It was such a privilege to be part of. Enjoy your sneaky peek!
