Katie & Adam | Wedding | Woodlands | 24th September 2011
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Katie & Adam on their wedding day. The day was held at Woodlands of Marburg and it was the most perfect day! We started the day out with the grooms where I totally didn’t recognise the groom. He was clean shaven and I swear he had lost weight! Looked completely different to the last time I saw Katie & Adam! The boys were great, full of character and a highlight for me was photographing them smoking cigars!! Check out the below shots! They are pretty spesh! After we finished we headed up to the girls room where they were ready and waiting in the cool air con (it was sooo hot outside!). Katie looked amazing and her Winnie bridal gown was just stunning! We started off with a few boudoir shots before getting ready and formals with the girls.
Then we headed down to the “Grotto” for the beautiful ceremony. The bride and groom had an emotional and heartfelt ceremony with the added surprise of an unexpected visitor (a 2m approx carpet snake slithered out of the bush for a bit of a look!) gatecrashed the end of the ceremony. Luckily he kept moving and didn’t disrupt things too much. After a group shot and some family formals, we set off around the beautiful grounds of Woodlands to photograph the bridal party and gorgeous newlyweds!
To finish off the day, we headed up to the reception in the marquee room for their entrance, cake cutting and amazing first dance!! What is a photographer to do when there is coloured lights, flash and a smoke machine – AMAZING first dance photographs!!
Well it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your wedding day Katie & Adam. Enjoy your sneak peak and your honeymoon and I will be in touch soon!!
